Hispanic Advertising For Cosmetic Surgery

When it all began (I mean cosmetic and plastic surgery) most of the patients were Caucasians. This may be due to their culture. In most of the cases, Caucasians have more flexible ‘rules’ then the other ethnicity. This has resulted in the fact that other ethnic groups were a lot harder to convince that these procedures are not a work of evil, even more, they help people improve their quality of life.



The truth is that the problem wasn’t with the people, their culture and traditions made it harder for them to accept new technologies. With the passing of time new breakthroughs appeared in cosmetic surgery and this helped people understand, that these procedures are really useful. We all know that the first procedures were made in the field of reconstructive surgery and these made a big difference in people’s lives.


Today many Hispanic people are having all kinds of plastic, cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries. Recent statistics show that there is a major increase in the number of Hispanics who decide to have a procedure, while the number of Caucasians is slowly decreasing. In the beginning Hispanics were afraid that by having such a surgery they might lose their typical ethnic characteristics and so those who decided to have a surgery anyway were trying to find surgeons who had experience with ethnic skin.

The number of Hispanic cosmetic surgeons is quite small at this moment, but we can observe a slow increase regarding this field as well. Those who already have a practice need to develop operable marketing strategies, because for them Hispanic advertising for cosmetic surgery is very important. People need to know about them and not only this; they need advertisements that make people trust them and, even if it sounds bad, influence them to choose the specialist in question.

All this is true not only for Hispanic surgeons, but all the others as well. Marketing specialists have realized that Hispanic people represent a big buying power so they are focusing more and more on then and more and more money is invested in developing new marketing strategies especially for Hispanic people. They don’t invest more money than before just in the advertisement itself, but they make polls and surveys as well to learn more about Hispanics needs.

For a long time marketing strategies involved only television and the printed media, but in these days we can observe a changing in the strategies. Internet has gained a lot of field in marketing campaigns and so did the radio. Many people think that radio already is old-fashioned and they would not believe how much money companies and even doctors are investing in radio advertisement.


In the US there are more and more Latino shows on the radio and they can be upheld partially thanks to Hispanic advertising for cosmetic surgery because this brings in a lot of money to the radio station. In conclusion we can say that although many people might think that Hispanic marketing is just making baby steps, they would be amazed by the real facts.
