You should know about the average cost of plastic surgery

When most people think about plastic surgery they think about only the wonderful results that they might achieve and they think only later about all the other things that a surgery means. I am referring to the risks and problems and also to the costs.

We are living in a material world and everybody is after money. You should know that you have to pay for the surgery from your own pocket because health insurance covers the costs only in case there are big problems, but if you just want to enhance your natural beauty, you will have to pay a lot for it.

In this article I am going to present the average cost of plastic surgery in the United States and so the prices might vary from surgeon to surgeon.

The numbers have been gathered from several board certified plastic surgeons but they might vary according to the location also. These prices include all the things you have to pay: surgeon’s fee, operating room fee, anesthesia fee, and implant fee. In case you ask for the prices of a surgeon be sure to ask about all of these, because in other cases the price they tell you is only about 60-80% of the real cost. The prices that I will tell you are quite constant, meaning that the differences from one place to another are not much, except for New York. In that city the prices are about 50% higher than in other places.

The costs of procedures are as follows: arm lift (also known as brachioplasty) $5000-6500; blue peel $500-400; Botox injection $200-400 per area; breast augmentation (with saline implant) $5000-6500; breast augmentation (with silicone implant) $6000-8000; breast lift $5000-6000; cheek or chin implants $3000-4500; Collagen injection $500-1500; deep chemical peel $3500-5000; dermabrasion $2000-4000; eyelid tuck (upper and lower) $4000-5500; face lift $7000-9000; forehead lift (also known as brow lift) $3500-5000; laser hair removal $300-800; Labiaplasty $2500-4000; laser (Erbium) $2500-4000; laser (CO2) $4000-5000; lip augmentation $600-2000; liposuction (one area) $2500-4500; liposuction (three areas) $5500-7000; liposuction (five areas) $8000-10,000; medium peel $1500-25000; micro peel $60-100; nose surgery (also known as rhynoplasty) $5000-6000; pectoral implants $60007000; permanent eyeliner $300-1000; permanent lip liner $300-1000; spider vein RX (laser) $400-1000; spider vein RX (Sclero) $200-500; tattoo removal (laser) $300-800; tummy tuck $6000-8000.

I know that sometimes the differences between the prices might be quite big but my opinion is that when it comes to our health we shouldn’t worry about the money that much and even though we might have to pay a bit more we should do so. We should find surgeons that we can trust and that preferably are board certified in the field that we are interested in. People shouldn’t feel ashamed to ask about the accreditations that the surgeons have because those show us the type of education and experience the surgeon in question has. I hope you agree with the things that I have mentioned, but if you do not, feel free to leave a comment.
